About the Role
We are currently seeking a Management Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing business that has a strong order book and ambitious growth plans over the next five years.
You’ll play a key role in supporting financial reporting, project accounting, and operational finance activities across a diverse portfolio, including product development, systems integration, manufacturing, and service support.

Key Responsibilities

Support reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and project accounting processes

Ensure compliance with financial controls, group policies, and statutory requirements

Assist with month-end reporting and submission of financial data

Provide analysis of key balance sheet items (e.g. WIP, unbilled revenue, inventory)

Deliver variance analysis and performance reporting across operations

Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including utilisation and labour recovery

Lead annual rate-setting processes (internal and external)

Act as Finance lead for planning and operations meetings

Support audit processes and ensure timely delivery of required information

Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes

Act as a key finance contact for inventory reporting and performance metrics

Undertake ad hoc finance tasks as required
About You
You will be a motivated and analytical finance professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Skills & Experience:

Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or qualified by experience

Strong background in financial accounting

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders

Experience with Oracle, Cognos BI, or TM1 is advantageous (training provided)
