Purpose: Analyzes pilot training data to measure training program effectiveness. Complies with FAA and Republic Airways regulations, standards, and policies related to data reporting.
Essential Duties
- Leads the collection, auditing, analysis, and reporting of pilot proficiency performance data
- Extracts data from enterprise and warehouse sources. Verify data accuracy; initiate and resolve data quality issues.
- Use statistical software programming language to query multiple datasets
- Assists in translating business need to design and develop tools, metrics and dashboards for insight and data visualization
- Provides training and support to Instructors and Evaluators for grading calibration
- Audits monthly data and ensures required data is submitted to FAA accurately and on time
- Provides advanced reporting solutions and responds to ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas
- Compiles and organizes data for required quarterly and annual reports for the FAA
- Coordinates AQP data findings with stakeholders in the Flight Training organization
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Required
- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Strong SQL proficiency with complex queries (multi tables, joins, complex data relationships, large databases)
- Experience with Power BI and DAX
- Experience with MS Office Suite software
- Ability to effectively present information to large groups
Preferred
- Knowledge of air carrier training programs and associated FAA regulations
- Knowledge of data analysis software and database management software
- Experience in a quantitative or qualitative field providing data analysis for business operations
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
