Job Summary
This position requires strong analytical, oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills to support a fast-paced office and operations environment. He/She is responsible for preparation of complex reports, using various software packages and databases (e.g. MS Access). This position also determines methods and procedures for completing complex tasks, provides advanced office support knowledge and skills, prepares and/or coordinates information for internal and external contacts and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Workdays: Sunday to Thursday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)
Shift Hours: Sunday 15:00 to 23:00, Monday to Thursday 16:00 to Midnight
Shift Duration: 8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time).
Work Location: 1221 32ND AVENUE LACHINE, QC H8T 3H2 Canada
Compensation: 18.03 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Timely audit and correction of Import Cargo manifests that are required to be presented to customs.
Monitor flight and or trailer arrival times and complete all the tasks within a specific timeframe.
Flag customs inspections.
Run release cycles.
All dutiable shipments must be submitted to ACI or ACE as required by customs.
Work on import discrepancy reports.
Monitor other reports and take appropriate action when required to ensure an efficient and timely import operation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (required).
Must be able to work in a mostly unsupervised environment and make timely critical decisions.
ISPSYS/OPSYS (Asset)
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours and holidays, as service needs dictate.
