Position Summary:
The Identity and Access Management (IAM/IdAM) Analyst will support the firm’s enterprise IAM transformation program, assisting in the day-to-day operations of IAM processes and tools. This role provides critical support for IAM services, including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and identity governance, helping to maintain secure, compliant, and reliable access to company systems and applications. Working closely with the IAM Manager, the IAM Analyst will contribute to the success of IAM projects and initiatives, aiming to enhance both security and user experience within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing technical skills in IAM, familiarity with access management processes, and strong problem-solving abilities. This role requires coordination with various departments, so strong communication skills are essential.
Essential Responsibilities:
IAM Operations and Support
- Perform day-to-day IAM operations, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and management of role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Support IAM tools and technologies for secure access management, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to troubleshoot access-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
Access Management and Compliance
- Conduct regular access reviews, working with internal stakeholders to ensure access rights align with the principle of least privilege.
- Assist in IAM audits by gathering evidence, documenting IAM processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support IAM governance activities by adhering to established policies, processes, and workflows.
Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify opportunities for automation in access management to increase efficiency and reduce errors in provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Assist the IAM Manager in developing and documenting process improvements to enhance security, streamline IAM operations, and improve user experience.
- Participate in projects to implement enhancements and changes to IAM solutions as required.
Monitoring and Incident Response
- Monitor IAM systems for abnormal activity or potential access risks, escalating incidents as necessary.
- Support IAM incident response efforts, assisting in the investigation and remediation of IAM-related security events.
- Document and communicate findings to the IAM Manager and security team.
Documentation and User Training
- Maintain documentation for IAM processes, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance with security standards.
- Assist in the creation of user training materials and communication plans to educate employees on IAM policies and secure access practices.
- Provide front-line support for IAM-related user inquiries, escalating more complex issues as needed.
