Position SummaryThe Business Analyst is responsible for providing integrated analytical support across the airline’s network planning, revenue management, and business development functions. This role involves data analysis, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to optimize the airlines route network, maximize revenue, and identify efficiency and growth opportunities.Personal CharacteristicsSelf-starter with high initiativeEffective critical thinking skillsStrong attention to detail while also being able to assess issues at a high levelWillingness to share ideas, find solutions and improvements and support others to be successfulHigh level of integrity, confidentiality and accountabilityAbility to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful, with a positive work attitudeDemonstrated ability to work autonomously to plan and organize workload with minimal supervisionKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesCompile and perform detailed data analytics to support the revenue management & spaneting department including analysis of the airline’s network performance, standard KPI’s and profitability metrics.Construct comprehensive reports and dashboards, utilizing data visualization techniques to identify trends and generate insights that inform business decisions.Conduct spanet research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and support new business ventures.Support the development of long-term network strategies through data analysis, including fleet deployment and hub optimization.Conduct modeling and scenario analysis for potential business opportunities (eg. RFP submissions).Assist in optimizing flight schedules, inventory controls, and pricing strategies through data-driven insights to enhance overall revenue optimization.Provide consolidated analysis and financial modeling to support business case development for new routes, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.Communicate and collaborate effectively within a small cross-functional team to align on goals and strategies.Assist the team with ad hoc analysis requests and contribute to special projects as neededPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and Technical SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experiences in finance, business, or related field.2+ years experience as a business or data analyst Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).Creative problem solver who thinks strategically, is result oriented and attentive to detailsStrong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insightsWorking ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleWork performed primarily in an office environment with occasional travelManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephoneAble to sit for up to eight hours - in office.This is an onsite role in Thunder Bay, ON
