Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking an experienced Configuration Analyst 5 to join our team.

This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory, UT or Magna, UT. In this senior role, you will be integral in overseeing and ensuring implementation of configuration management for our multiple solid rocket motor projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.

• Lead and oversee configuration identification, control, auditing, status accounting, and verification processes.

• Ensure that configuration control is applied to complex engineering changes within the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate with various departments including engineering, production, and quality assurance to plan and manage product baselines and documentation.

• Conduct configuration audits to verify conformance to requirements and facilitate the resolution of discrepancies.

• Provide expert guidance and support on configuration management best practices to project teams.

• Maintain configuration management databases and tools, ensuring the integrity and security of configuration data.

• Lead training and mentoring initiatives of other configuration analysts.

• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and programs.

• Engage daily with programs on matters of configuration and change management, conduct and lead Configuration Control Boards

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with Propulsion Systems products with a Bachelor’s degree OR 10 years of experience in the Aerospace industry with a Master’s degree, OR 8 year of experience with a PhD, OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 16 years of related professional / military experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.

• Strong understanding and experience with configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII).

• Proficient in using configuration management software tools and systems.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Proven leadership and team management abilities.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required

​Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII-P, CMC).

• Experience with Siemens enterprise-level PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

• Experience working within NASA and DoD configuration management requirements.

• Experience or practical knowledge of MRP systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
