Joining Collins Aerospace isn’t just about finding a job; it’s about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. Our Global Trade team is seeking a highly motivated Customs Analyst to join their team in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. This is hybrid role.

What you will do:

This role is required to support the Compliance Department and wider business.

• Customs Clearance Instructions:

• Managing the process of clearance of shipments for imported lines

• Checking of imported line values

• Maintaining and retaining accurate records

• Any other reasonable duties

• Customs Clearance Audits:

• Managing the process of auditing a samples of weekly customs clearances

• Maintaining monthly imports data provided by HMRC

• Submitting entry amendments to HMRC

• IPR submission:

• Managing the process of reducing the duty and VAT exposure to the business

• Submitting the quarterly submissions to HMRC Allocation of Import/Export codes

• Submitting the monthly scrap submissions to HMRC

• Continuous Improvement:

• Assuming of responsibility for participating in any lean activities and initiatives that support key business targets

• Assuming of responsibility for using Continuous Improvement techniques to remove unnecessary waste from all day-to-day activities

• Supporting all CORE initiatives within the workplace

• Level of Work:

• Supports any on-going projects

• Performs routine responsibilities with little supervision, and therefore requiring the use of own judgement and initiative

• Follows specific Standard Work Instructions 

What you will learn:

Qualifications / Experience you must have:

• Computer literate

• Strong academic background, and GCSEs at grade C or above

Qualifications / Experience we prefer:

• Prior knowledge or experience in Global Trade

• An analytical mindset

• Educated to degree level
