Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for an IT System Administer. The primary responsibility of an IT System Administer is to execute the company’s IT policies under the supervision of the IT Manager.  This includes managing all computing assets and infrastructures, troubleshooting technical and operational issues, providing daily help desk support for employees and ensuring the security of company data in accordance with internal policies and industry best practices.

 Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and or upgrade of business software tools to accommodate the organization’s continuous changing needs.
• Monitor and maintain ERP and related third-party systems data integrity, functionality and security.
• Provide application training and support for company reporting environments including the ERP system, Timekeeping System, SharePoint and other standard Windows and Office tools.
• Assist in the resolution of ERP and related third-party systems hardware, software and system problems.
• Maintain inventory and upkeep of hardware and other electronic assets including computers, laptops, tablets, mobile phones and related peripherals.
• Assist with the deployment, upgrade and troubleshooting/repair of all assets of the division including office equipment, shop floor equipment, IT equipment, shop floor cabling and other related network infrastructures.
• Provide technical and tangible support to employees to ensure uninterrupted daily operations and optimal productivity in the workplace. 
• Divisional advocate for North American and Corporate IT governances ensuring adherence to IT policies, security protocols and standard operating procedures.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree IT/Computer Science or equivalent 1-2years experience.
• Any specialized certifications related to IT, MIS, device repairs or other relevant to technology.
• A background or prior experience in manufacturing is desired
• Develop an in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP with fully integrated ERP functionality.
• Develop an in-depth working knowledge of all integrated (third-party) products that work with/for the ERP system.
• Demonstrated competence with all MS Office Products, SharePoint
• Basic skills using SQL Server 2012 or higher, SQL Server Agent, SSRS, Visual Basic and/or similar data mining and reporting tools.
• Develop an in-depth working knowledge of ShopVue or similar timekeeping systems.
• Demonstrated competence in basic IT infrastructure, wiring and networking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well as a member of a team
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well independently
