MRO Planner – Fast Jet Trainer (Ex-Military Aircraft)

Morson Edge are recruiting for an experienced MRO Planner to support fast jet trainer aircraft within a high-tempo Aerospace environment.
This is a key planning role responsible for the coordination and oversight of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activity, supporting aircraft availability, airworthiness compliance, and operational delivery. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of component lifeing and a disciplined approach to planning and data accuracy.
The Role
You will develop and manage detailed maintenance plans, coordinating MRO activity across engineering, logistics and operations teams. A core focus of the role is lifeing management of critical aircraft components, ensuring all planning outputs remain compliant, accurate and operationally effective.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans to support aircraft availability and regulatory compliance

Coordinate and sequence MRO activity across engineering, logistics and operational teams

Manage and track life-limited and critical aircraft components to ensure continued airworthiness

Identify and mitigate risks linked to missing, incomplete or inaccurate maintenance data

Maintain accurate work orders, technical records and forecasting information

Ensure planning outputs align with UK aviation regulations and internal quality standards

Support continuous improvement activities within MRO planning processes

Communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure delivery targets are met
Essential Requirements

Proven experience as an MRO Planner within a fast-paced aviation environment

Experience supporting fast jet trainer aircraft or ex-military platforms is highly desirable

Must hold current SC Clearance

Must have full right to work in the UK

Strong knowledge of component lifeing management and airworthiness compliance

High attention to detail with strong planning discipline and documentation control

Analytical and structured approach to problem solving

Confident working across engineering, logistics and operational stakeholders
Desirable Skills

Experience using Aerotrac or similar aviation ERP / MRO planning systems

Knowledge of military aviation documentation and regulatory frameworks (MAA, Part M, Part 145)

Experience supporting fast-tempo operational MRO cycles

Strong reporting capability and confidence working with complex datasets
