BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Current ASNT or NAS 410 Level III certification in UT
- 5+ years of NDE experience at level II to NAS 410/ASNT standards in PAUT
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of experience as NDE specialist or 3+ years of NDE experience at level III preferred to ASNT Level III standard
- 7+ years of experience in non-destructive testing/evaluation, engineering, production, and quality
- Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/AS9100/NADCAP)
- Expertise interpreting 2D engineering drawings and model drawings
- Knowledge of AMS, AWS/ASME, ASTM etc.
- Problem solving tools and techniques: Practical Problem Solving, 8D etc.
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft office applications - Word, Power Point, Excel etc.
- Good written, oral, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of quality processes (approvals, quality planning, first article inspections, etc.)
- Experience in advanced NDE methods such as: phased array UT and full matrix capture, digital radiography, computed tomography, eddy array, etc.
- 5+ years of aerospace experience especially experience in the space launch business
- Degree in an engineering-related subject area
- Knowledge of NASA 5009 standards
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position may involve long hours and weekend work as needed
- Ability to travel - 50% or greater work week travel is expected
- Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Level 2: $120,000-$145,000/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
