Mobile Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, FL, at the Pensacola International Airport. We are a renowned provider of aircraft maintenance and modification (AMM) services for commercial airlines and air freight operators. We have the know-how and experience to comprehensively manage complex projects, ensuring our customers aircraft operate safely and efficiently.
What YOU will do:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst shall be responsible to the Manager Quality Assurance. The QA Analyst shall be responsible for monthly Quality/Safety reporting, analysis and data mining, review investigation reports, and process improvement recommendations.
- Create / maintain databases of known Quality/Safety events.
- Extract and transform data into useable metrics
- Review and document events in appropriate databases
- Design, build and maintain appropriate data analysis tools to communicate relevant information to management too include data presentation.
- Recommend areas for process improvement.
- Act as a first point of contact in the Quality Assurance event database
- Conduct historical analysis/ data mining
- Screen reports and any other evidence for accuracy, errors or missing information
- Maintain a CAPA data base
- Review final investigation reports and enter into data repositories.
- Produce monthly reports reflecting the current status
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Good working knowledge or the ability to acquire skills in the following:
Experience with System Development desired. Excellent interpersonal, consultative skills. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills both oral and written. Self-motivated, Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, or function in a team as needed. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for data analysis Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to effectively present to and interact with all levels of management. Highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
SUPERVISION: The incumbent normally performs the duty assignment at his or her discretion and is limited only by policies set by administrative or legislative authority. Total end results determine the effectiveness of job performance.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship between various departments, management and customer representatives.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate controlled office but not limited to the office. Must be able to cope with stress and mental exhaustion due to the pressures of accomplishing set goals, meeting short deadlines, maintaining numerous projects simultaneously, employee confrontations and long work hours. Must be able to climb workstands and access all parts of the aircraft.
What YOU need:
EDUCATION: Related Bachelors Degree. Four years of experience may be substituted for Bachelors Degree
EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of related experience, including planning, developing, implementing, and managing Quality, Reliability, and performance measurements and/or Information Systems. Working knowledge of SQL, a plus. Proficient in MS Office products, to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Fluent with pivot tables as well as vlook-up functions and macros in Excel
