BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- 3+ years of experience in weld inspection
- 5+ years of experience in structural or pipe fabrication and welding
- Experience working with nondestructive examination (NDE) methodologies and ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) level II certifications in magnetic particle inspection (MT)/ultrasonic testing (UT)/visual welding inspection (VT)
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards including the American Welding Society (AWS) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards
- D1.1 endorsement preferred
- 5+ years of experience with oxy-acetylene, fitting, arc gouging, and electronic welding equipment
- General mechanical skills in concrete, machining, and alignment/setting
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements
- Knowledge of standard tools, materials, motions, and practices of the welding trade
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in relation to welding and brazing
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and effective safety precautions of the trade
- Use of precision measuring instruments
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
- Familiarity with various aerospace materials, such as aluminum (6061 and 2219), various grades of stainless steel, Inconel, Monel, etc.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is required
- Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments- heat, cold, rain
- Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and lifting (up to 25 lbs. unassisted) and able to work on ladders/lifts at elevated heights with proper PPE (up to 300 feet)

Pay range:
Welding Inspector Specialist/Level 1: $23.00 - $42.00/hour
Welding Inspector Specialist/Level 2: $35.50 - $58.25/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
