Job Description:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions in AH-64 systems and components.
  • Maintain and service weapons components, fire control units, sighting elements, stabilization systems, avionics, and related electronic and mechanical devices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engine, APU, ventilation, and heating systems.
  • Perform and assist with repairs, replacements, and rebuilds of aircraft structures and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units using hand and power tools.
  • Repair worn or damaged components such as alternators, fuel controls, pumps, engine-mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using gauges and test equipment.
  • Remove and install engines and gearboxes as required.
  • Conduct pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections and perform preventive maintenance including servicing, greasing, cleaning filters and screens, checking brakes, and towing or jacking aircraft.
  • Perform full system checkouts and a wide variety of operational and preventive inspections, including progressive, phase, periodic, and calendar inspections.
  • Read and interpret aircraft instruments, technical manuals, schematics, and job guides.
  • Research technical documentation to determine repair feasibility and methods.
  • Use special test equipment and tools and accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with QA and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas using a clean-as-you-go process and participate in FOD walk-downs.
  • Maintain strict tool control in accordance with approved policies and immediately report missing, lost, or unattended tools.
  • Handle hazardous materials in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
  • 5–8 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of armament maintenance experience specific to AH-64 aircraft systems.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Must provide own shadowed or etched tools and toolbox.
