Job Title: Aircraft Electronics Technician- Pay range for this position is $37.00 - $44.00/hr DOE, plus sign-on bonus if eligible.
Job DescriptionProvide engineering technical services to plan, design, modify, install, interface, test, evaluate, repair and document the operation and performance of airborne test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and ground support equipment. The position requires proficiency in both analog and digital electronic fundamentals, the theory of solid-state devices, digital logic and techniques, RF modulation techniques, and an understanding of electromechanical drive mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, modify, install, interface, test, evaluate, repair, and document the operation and performance of airborne test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and ground support equipment.
- Interpret and utilize electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, block diagrams, and technical publications to build prototype electronic assemblies.
- Select and operate test equipment such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, frequency meter, and logic probe to accomplish specific tasks such as checkout, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Fabricate cable harnesses, populate electronic assemblies, and perform soldering, crimping, and wire terminations to interface equipment to sensors, data acquisition units, and test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits to the component level.
- Upload and download instrumentation pods to/from aircraft.
- Perform hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and avionics maintenance on aircraft.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in analog and digital electronic fundamentals and the theory of solid-state devices.
- Advanced working knowledge of electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, block diagrams, and technical publications.
- Experience with test equipment such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, frequency meter, and logic probe.
- Proficiency in fabricating cable harnesses, soldering, crimping, and wire terminations.
- Working knowledge of thermocouples, temperature reference junctions, accelerometers, charge amplifiers, pressure transducers, strain gauges, piezoelectric transducers, flow meters, transmitters, and signal conditioners.
- Expert-level troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits to the component level.
- Ability to qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory or a military equivalent.
- ISCET certification may be required.
- Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems.
- Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices may be required.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience.
- Hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and avionics maintenance on aircraft highly desired.

Work Environment
Work in a field environment, which includes shift work, overtime, and travel to remote locations. Expect frequent exposure to weather and temperature extremes, drafts, noise, and dust. Two shifts are available: 1st Shift (6/7am, 8+ hours, Mon-Fri) and 2nd Shift (2/3pm, 8+ hours, Mon-Fri). You will be working on the Flight Line and in the Back Shop, with Flight Line experience being a significant plus. There are opportunities in two groups: Bomber Mods with longer project lengths (6 months - 1 year) involving wire routing, LRU installs, and pre/post-flight work, and Fighter Jet Mods with a faster-paced environment and larger workload, involving more flights, pre/post-flight work, troubleshooting, and work on experimental equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $87000.00/yr.
401k, medical, dental , vision, and profit sharing. They will hire directly. They do direct hire and will have them start in Mojave but train in vegas for two weeks
