Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description
The Avionics Technician is responsible for modifications on Dash-8 aircraft, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic systems. This role involves basic soldering and harness build-up, fault isolation and repair, wire stripping, and crimping. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance efficiently and with high quality.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and test instruments, components, and assemblies using tools such as circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters.
- Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems, such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systems.
- Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
- Install, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnesses.
- Install avionics equipment per engineering drawings while following wiring standards.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of avionics experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with wire harness fabrication and installation.
- Must have own tools.
- Must be eligible for Secret clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A&P license preferred (A license minimum).
- B737 experience.
- Military experience.

Work Environment
Work in a hangar and MRO type environment, handling several heavy maintenance and modifications. Follow a production schedule and complete work cards within designated time frames. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
