Pay Rate: $28.00 - $32.00 an hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with OT as required while in hangar. Travel hours will be dependent on assignment.

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will engage in performing comprehensive avionics and electrical maintenance on ATR-72, ATR-42, and Cessna Caravan aircraft. Your role will include both heavy maintenance tasks such as C & D checks and calendar checks, as well as out station maintenance. You will have the opportunity to travel throughout the east coast and possibly to the Caribbean, with all expenses covered.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform heavy avionics and electrical maintenance on ATR-72 and ATR-42 aircraft and Cessna Caravan Aircraft.
• Test, repair, troubleshoot, program, and maintain electrical systems and electronics including ADCs, antennas, flight data recorders, transponders, and GADs.
• Replace and repair required items per heavy maintenance (C & D checks) requirements.
• Conduct out station maintenance and travel to various locations as required.
• Perform logbook research and perform all duties per customer, FAA and aircraft requirements.

• Experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting.
• FAA Airframe License is required / FAA A&P License highly preferred
• 2 - 5 years of experience in avionics maintenance.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a large hangar at the Kinston Regional Jetport, capable of holding up to four large ATR aircraft. Work will also be conducted outdoors. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with additional hours as needed.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
