What You’ll Need to Bring with You:
Your Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.
Your Experience:
1+ years of experience in Avionics repair or installation is preferred.
Your Initiative:
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common. Dealing with customers and the capacity to perform work with minimal supervision will also be required.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
• Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
• Notify your supervisor in advance of shift start if unable to work.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work every day.
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Follow all company and safety rules during the performance of duties.
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Other Particulars:
Physical Requirements:
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting.
• Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Climb ladders and stairs; work in small, restricted areas.
• Basic computer skills.
Mental Requirements:
• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
• professionally work with others.
Supervision:
• Work under the supervision of the assigned Avionics Team Leader.
Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations, from very cold to very hot.
• Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
• Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used:
• Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
• Jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices.
• Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment.
• Crimpers, soldering iron, and heat guns.
• Personal computer and work order prints.
