Job Title: Maintenance Electrician AJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician A to join our team. This position involves planning and installing wiring, conduits, and electrical apparatus in buildings. You will diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus, install data and control wiring, and maintain power and control wiring for machines and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, replacing damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Install data and control wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
  • Install and maintain power and control wiring to machines and equipment, connecting cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Operate machinery and equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers to program automated machinery, test for malfunctions, and verify repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty printed circuit boards and other electronic components.
  • Replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, and replace electric motor bearings.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.
  • Perform maintenance duties in other maintenance disciplines, including repair of mechanical malfunctions and assembly, installation, and repair of machines, pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems.
Essential Skills
  • 4-7 years of directly related experience.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience with maintenance technician, hand tools, power tools, electrical wiring, and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and government regulations for electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to use safety equipment as required by Title 29 CFR 1910.
  • Possesses a valid State of Oklahoma Drivers License.
  • Provides basic hand tools and uses them properly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-Year Associate Degree or technical school.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
  • Respirator training and certification.
  • Combination of experience and training may be substituted for education requirement.

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level can vary from loud to moderate. Physical requirements include frequent walking, using hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and standing. Must be able to work in excess of eight hours per day and five days per week if required. Occasional travel between facilities is necessary. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $66560.00/yr.
