Description
About the role:
Responsible for transfer of food items from Production to Assembly and other operational departments as per set batch time handover. Monitor passenger load changes and coordinate with Production and Assembly Departments to secure the required loads in timely manner.
Key accountabilities for the role include:
▪ Liaises with production sections Chefs to ensure that all food items are ready for handover as per agreed batch handover time to Operations department.
▪ Ensure the verification of product presentation, required quantity, and validate the shelf life while receiving food items from production department.
▪ Responsible for cross verification of food choices as per the airline specifications and set standard.
▪ Prompt communication of the variances in received food items to production section In-charge and timely follow up with section; escalate to the shift lead where necessary.
▪ Receipt of food orders for Qatar Airways Lounges and other non-Airline from production department and hand over to respective operations department as per the schedule.
▪ Monitor Airlines interval-based passenger load changes and promptly communicate with production department for additional load and are provided within respective flight departure timeframe.
▪ Countercheck to the special meals for Airline passengers’ and crew and handover to respective operational departments to ensure the meal requests are met accordingly.
▪ Maintain and record handover and inventory sheets for flights as well as for lounges for future reference.
▪ Keep full understanding of the functional administration of the kitchen and maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu cycles, uplift, sectors, equipments and flight details.
▪ Ensure all time First in First out (FIFO) process is followed to avoid food wastages.
▪ Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications
About you:
High School Qualification with Minimum 1 year of job-related experience or Bachelor’s Degree or No prior job-related work experience
Job Specific Skills:
▪ HACCP Certificate ▪ Airline Security Trained
▪ Experience with food product handling
▪ Exposure in Airline catering procedures
▪ Basic knowledge of MS Office
▪ Ability to work under pressure
▪ Meeting deadlines and operational emergencies
▪ Confident level of written and spoken English
▪ Computer literate
