Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate Test and Evaluation Engineer (Level 2) to join our Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III team in Heath, Ohio.
This engineering position will be responsible for conducting the development and execution of overhaul strategies (both hardware and software impacting) for support equipment used in the mechanical and electronics testing of U.S. Strategic Deterrence Systems (U.S. Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Guidance Systems, U.S. Air Force & U.S. Navy Guidance Systems and other military programs).
Additional engineering responsibilities will include reviewing and updating drawings and documents as obsolete assemblies and instruments are replaced, and conducting support equipment overhauls, testing and qualification. Close collaboration with program management, other functional engineering groups, operations and other functional counterparts is required.

Position Responsibilities:
Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and uses analytical tools to verify the design.
Working knowledge of and the ability to execute tasks supporting a project management-based gated process, also known as a phase-gate process.
Demonstrates the effectiveness of test methods.
Develops test procedures, and the instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk.
Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools.
Participates in evaluation of test performance data.
Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity; alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data, and prepares test reports for review prior to delivery to customer.
Supports development of test debrief material.
Works under general supervision.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
2+ years of total related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
1+ years of experience in laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, manufacturing (Assembly, Integration & Test)
1+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics equipment, hardware, and software
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Bachelor of Science Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Systems)
2+ years of combined experience in test equipment design, construction, calibration, operations, maintenance, overhaul and/or repair
2+ years of experience in test software development and/or support, inclusive of NI LabVIEW, Microsoft Visual Studio, and/or other comparable programming languages
Experience working on government or DoD programs
