CNC Process Engineer M/F
Job Description:

•tPerform technical analysis on materials for the CNC process across all products/programs that demonstrates production constraints and recognize opportunities
•tEvaluate the current state of industrial capacity and capability relative to material requirements & propose changes to program plans to ensure that production cost, quality and delivery objectives can be met.
•tWork with manufacturing leaders to established process documents and using materials for the CNC process specification.
•tCreate and update materials and process standards/specifications to support engineering and manufacturing practices, including establishing certification and recertification criteria
•tInnovate and evaluate new material for use in the CNC process
•tReview, approve and document usage of material specification, cabin and industrial standards for the CNC process.
•tImplement best practices related to the CNC process; ensure standardization, and develop related documentation and training
•tTravel to other Safran sites with similar processes to learn, document, and deploy best practices internally
•tDevelop and implement next generation processes, prepare advance technology, and transition from manual processes towards automation when applicable
•tMeasure performance across products/programs in these processes and work with Production staff to address and solve problems
•tTrain Production staff on new CNC process
•tServe as the Safran Cabin site expert for the CNC process, with the willingness to join the Safran Expert network as a a CNC Expert
•tAct as the focal for Industrialization on the CNC process as required during the development of our products ensuring that the best practices, materials, and processes are used in our designs
•tChampion and implement Lean principles to improve process performance and capability
•tLead and participate in Kaizen and workshop events to develop improvement plans
•tIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate risks and possible failures within the CNC process
•tTraining and Compliance: Conduct training programs to educate production staff on established and new CNC processes, safety protocols, and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
•tRoot Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve process-related issues or failures, utilizing root cause analysis techniques to determine and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
•tCollaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and paint departments, to coordinate process integration, resolve issues, and communicate process changes or improvements.
Job Requirements:

Education: BS in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience with the CNC process
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Other Skills:
•\tEffective communication skills, both written and verbal
•\tAbility to establish collaborative relationships to achieve objectives
•\tAbility to work independently and follow through on assignments with limited direction; ability to work within and lead in a team oriented environment
•\tExcellent attention to detail
•\tProject management experience
•\tExperience in manufacturing process set-up or adaptation
•\tExperience in problem solving and risk management
Additional Preferred Qualifications/Skills: (not required)
•\tMS degree in Materials or Industrial Processes
•\tStructured problem solving (QRQC, 8D, etc.)
•\tLean Sigma (DMAIC)
•\tExperience with Industrialization processes, PFMEA or DFMEA, and Continuous Improvement Tools
