UnspecifiedThe Design Engineer will work within the Structures Engineering organization as part of a product development team to design and develop structural components and systems for aircraft nacelles or auxiliary components. They will perform detail design and assembly work, configuration control, and create drawings and model based definition using CATIA V5 within Enovia. They will release engineering models/drawings within the company PDM system. They will also support the engineering change process in preparing change packages and support Technical Review Board meetings. Will support continuous improvement activities.
Qualification you must have:
BS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years professional experience in product design and development or MS and 4+ years of relevant experience.
The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical issues.
Ability to create models for aircraft structures using CATIA V5.
Proficiency with Enovia and Teamcenter, or similar PLM systems.
Qualification we preferred:
Proficiency with MS Office. Experience in product development teams highly.
Experience with aircraft structure and/or aircraft engine systems highly.
Experience with composites design & CATIA CPD workbench desirable.
