Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will support the design, development and testing, electrical generators and components across various projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, hands-on experience with schematic design, and troubleshooting, as well as proficiency with CAD tools. Responsabilities
The Selected candidates will be chosen to directly support the engineering department in:
- The Optimization of the electromagnetic design of hydroelectric generators for proposals, contracts and studies;
- Component analysis, using internal tools or developing calculations as needed;
- Preparing documentation for proposals, technical reports and operation and maintenance manuals of the client;
- Preparing drawings to ensure compliance with contractual and internal requirements;
- Creation of engineering instructions that define the technical requirements for manufacturing, installation and testing;
- Resolution of non-conformities during manufacturing and installation;
- Data review and analysis and on-site testing;
- Creation and calibration of design tools;
- R+D projects for the development of new generator technologies.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical design of hydro-generators or any other induction and synchronous machines for power generation and heavy industry applications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is a plus
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Familiarity with Electromagnetic finite element methods
- Understanding of industry standards
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to integrating electrical components into mechanical assemblies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Compensation and Benefits:
