Position Overview:
Boeing is seeking Engineer/Scientist to join our multi-disciplined engineering team in Albuquerque, NM designing and developing advanced concepts for the DoD. This position will join our mod/sim team responsible for wave optics modeling, error budgets, radiometry, trade studies, and other mod/sim/analysis efforts to support requirements definition and system performance modeling. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated work experience with optical systems mod/sim/analysis. The position will work with the SEIT team, providing data to be used for validating performance.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and validates models and simulations of optical systems.
Works with engineering teams to collect and analyze data used to anchor models.
Uses models and simulations to develop system requirements.
Performs complicated trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
Defines and conducts critical analyses of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
3+ years of experience with image processing.
3+ years of experience with wave optics models OR error budgets.
3+ years of experience with MATLAB OR Mathematica.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as spanet and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Experienced (level 3): $97,750 - $132,350
Senior (level 4): $118,150 - $159,850
Lead (level 5): $145,350 - $196,650
