They ensure that all training documentation is accurate, appropriately organized and presented in a clear, concise and consistent format. Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Collaborates with the technical and educational Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Prepares for and conducts interviews to obtain information / clarification on relevant courseware content materials.
Copies, edits and rewrites training documents and material to achieve accuracy, proper grammar, clarity, readability, and composition.
Provides advice and implementation support on editorial matters, documentation standards, and publishing best practices, including deployment and distribution methods.
Develops, maintains and provides support for the use of electronic platforms, including document libraries, lists, and pages.
Prepares, posts, and maintains content and information on appropriate platforms.
Edits and ensures relevancy and quality control for a variety of ATS Learning materials (synchronous, asynchronous, computer/tablet-based, and/or in-person training) for program and project managers, to ensure delivery of effective training products.
Assists in environmental research, analysis, and documentation of emerging ATS Learning, e-Learning, training environments, and multi-media issues, trends, technological advancements and / or other issues pertinent to the program.
Connects with internal and external organizations to explore potential information exchange.
Education/Occupational Certification:
Experience:
Experience analyzing student learning needs and developing training materials.
Experience writing and editing content for adult learners.
Experience with template standardization, updating documents, and management of training and development resources.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of current adult education theories.
Knowledge of theories, principles and practices associated with communications, multi-media product planning, development, evaluation and quality control; of IM/IT methods (including user interface design, development and maintenance; of research and data analysis methods/techniques; and of project planning techniques, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the company policies, standards and guidelines governing the development and publication of NAV CANADA ATS Learning communications products.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of editing and publishing.
Knowledge of MS Office and desktop design / publishing software.
Abilities:
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including grammar, spelling and composition.
Demonstrated ability to convert complex technical information into clear, concise, plain language.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities; work under minimal supervision; and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
Ability to work in a team (both in person and remotely) and independently and enable a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Ability to establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues through interpersonal and team building skills.

Working conditions:
Occasional travel required.
This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 1 day per week on site. However, effective this Fall (2025) there is a requirement of the employee to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
