The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Lead Hardware Subsystems Engineer to work in the El Segundo, CA location. Boeings SIWS (Space Intelligence and Weapons Systems) manages the companys major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Oversees the design and build of multiple satellite and avionics units.
Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Makes recommendations for technology investments.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the El Segundo, CA, location.
This worksite participates in Boeing’s optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Bachelors and 5+ years of experience in RF/Digital engineering
Masters and 3+ years of experience in RF/Digital engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 or more years of experience in RF/Microwave engineering.
Experience with digital circuit design.
Knowledge of FPGAs/ASICs
System engineering experience
Master of Science in Engineering
Prior Aerospace experience
Active TS/SCI clearance

Summary Pay Range: $128,350 - $173,650
