* Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years of experience in an engineering classification, or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years of experience in an engineering classification, or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

* 1 or more years of experience working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques.
* Hands-on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques.
* Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives.
* Experience with composite failure modes and failure analysis.
* Experience developing technical specifications, reports, and test plans.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use Microsoft Office tools.
* Experience creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings. Job Duties & Functions
* Apply chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods.
* Provide technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication.
* Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Create and execute test plans, document results, and contribute to specifications.
* Qualify and approve equipment, materials, and processes.
* Guide material testing activities in laboratory environments.
* Coordinate with design, production, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
* Support integration of new technologies and standardization across product lines.
* Manage test and audit programs while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
* Incorporate EHS, LEAN, and quality principles into daily work.
* Support production operations and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
* Travel domestically as required. Physical Requirements & Environment
