None/Not RequiredThis position is for a Manufacturing Engineer that performs conventional to advanced engineering assignments applying concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing operations. Checks manufacturability of existing products and implements manufacturing processes and changes to improve products and reduce costs.
What You Will Do
- Performs Manufacturing Engineering assignments under general direction and supervision.
- Develops routings and labor standards and updates the ERP System.
- Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routing.
- Designs systems, processes and equipment to increase efficiency, decrease costs, and improve the quality and reliability of product.
- Improve facilities layout of production floor space to establish maximum utilization of equipment considering economic factors, process flow, and operator efficiency and comfort.
- Monitors and ensures mandatory modifications, programs, and bulletins are incorporated or complied with, as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements, to ensure legal compliance and adherence to quality standards.
- Identifies opportunities or implements changes, on a need basis, to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
- Audits manufacturability of existing products, and recommends modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints.
- Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; and services, troubleshoots and solves production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
- Conducts analysis of manufacturing processes and equipment to diagnose failures.
- Develops and updates PFMEAs.
- Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles.
- Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and provide cost benefit analysis by evaluating cost factors and schedules. Plan, execute, and document engineering economic challenges.
- Maintain awareness of start-of-the-art technology and the applicability of how it can be leveraged to improve the Companys competitive position in the assigned area.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data
- Must have strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- AutoCad 2D experience
- Experience with Fluid Power and Mechanical Systems, and Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Siemens NX experience is preferred

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
