Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The internship student will work under the supervision of the Mechanical Design Engineer Lead in developing the Bill of Materials for the AerSafe and AerAware programs for loading into Fusion.
- When required the internship student will prepare design deviation forms or Advanced Drawing Changes in support of existing customer AerSafe or AerTrack
- installations.
- The internship student will be shown the process required to obtain and FAA STC and will review STC documentation for ongoing minor and major changes in the AerAware and AerSafe programs.
Education and Experience:
- Beginners experience level in the use of SolidWorks is beneficial for the position.
- Course of study in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- A course in Engineering Statics is beneficial for the position.
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks CAD modelling.
- Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office programs is recommended.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
- May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
