This position is integral to the GE Aerospace - Digital Engineering Solutions team supporting Network Operations excellence, technology standards and process simplification and robustness at the John F Welch Technology Center.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing & supporting LAN/WAN & Telephony infrastructure at site
Coordinate efforts for Hardware evaluation, procurement, installation, and Maintenance of network infrastructure.
Standardize and document support processes to gain efficiencies and allow for a global support model where applicable.
Aware of and comply with the change management processes
Drives IT scheduled outages for site by working with cross business teams.
Responsible for creating & driving RCA for all the Network incidents resulting in unscheduled outages.
Support Process Governance teams in driving incident reduction methodologies & service improvement programs
Works with key stakeholders, process governance & management to define and implement customer centric service level agreements to track and improve network infrastructure operational excellence.
Partner & drive shared service programs for better infrastructure operations support for the site.
Assesses and improves the overall technical knowledge base and continuity service planning for the network infrastructure.
Responsible for network systems design, implementation, and ongoing management at JFWTC, focusing on security, availability, performance, redundancy, and adherence to GE Aerospace Global standards
Work closely with global network team for enhancing network operation effectiveness, technical escalations, and service improvement.
Maintain the highest levels of Network availability, capacity and performance and report out metrics.
Establish and maintain robust network documentation.
Engage with appropriate business partners/customers for all network initiatives.
Work with Security teams to ensure the secure design and operations of the JFWTC Network.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors Degree in information technology, or related discipline or equivalent related IT experience
Overall 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ Years in managing network and telecommunication operations
Need to have strong technical knowledge on Cisco LAN, Wireless, WAN and Network Security devices like Firewalls & Cisco CUCM for Voice
Demonstrated experience with Cisco technologies and hardware like Catalyst switches, Routers and ASA series firewalls
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Palo Alto Firewall implementation, configuration & administration
Cisco ACI network implementation & administration
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bangalore.
