* Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 9 years of related work experience, Master’s degree + 12 years of related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
* Experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering.
* Current or prior BCA Material Review Board certification within the last 2 years.

* Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes. Job Duties & Functions
* Analyze production non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and develop engineering dispositions.
* Apply engineering and design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
* Research technical, operational, and quality issues to support the development of final engineering solutions.
* Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that may impact design intent or safety.
* Develop and implement product and process improvements to enhance production performance and quality.
* Support Integrated Product Teams and participate in design reviews.
* Represent the engineering organization on the factory floor during aircraft production and post-production activities.
* Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
* Develop engineering correspondence to support continued safe operation and maintenance of aircraft equipment.
* Participate in on-site repair teams, accident investigations, and engineering support activities.
* Analyze damage repairs or structural modifications to determine appropriate jacking and shoring requirements.
* Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analysis.
* Develop non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Work performed in a factory environment with exposure to stairs, trip hazards, high noise areas, and chemical hazards.
