How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Sr. Software Development Engineers, TPF in Atlanta, Georgia.Key Responsibilities:Participate in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of Electronic Ticketing applications. Understand business requirements to provide the technical design of computer software. Use high level of programming expertise in C++ and Basic Assembler Language for the zTPF environment to develop and maintain computer software.Develop appropriate software and documentation according to Delta standards, support and troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems. Follow Delta standards and methodologies in the development and implementation of computer software. Work on complex projects that require subject matter expertise. Practice safety-conscious behaviours in all operational processes and procedures. Respect differing options and collaborate on creating solutions for Delta Airlines. Telecommuting permitted two days per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in zTPF, Assembler Language, or a related filed.Must have experience with:Building computer software for Passenger Reservations, Ticketing, and Inventory within the airline industryDeveloping and maintaining software for a z/Transaction Processing Facility operating systemCoding using Transaction Processing Facility applicationStructure and concept of Ticketing and Reservation Databases as used in airline industryTicket Issue and Reissue conceptsCoding in Assembly Programming Language, Sabretalk, and CTeletype processingMultiple Virtual Storage environment.
