Role IntroductionReports to: Solution Lead / Senior Solution Lead
As part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department, you will join a team dedicated to driving continuous improvement and delivering seamless experiences for Cathay.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business and system requirements are accurately mapped and documented into functional and technical specifications for software development projects and enhancements.
You will leverage both internal and external resources to deliver high-quality software applications that align with business vision and objectives, contributing to the successful delivery of solutions that support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse business and system requirements to assess solution options and recommend effective approaches
- Support solution design by contributing technical expertise and ensuring feasibility of high-level design decisions
- Convert and align requirements into clear, traceable functional and technical specifications for software development projects
- Ensure all requirements are accurately documented and mapped to specifications
- Contribute to the development of requirement documents and user stories
- Participate in hands-on implementation of solutions as required
- Review and oversee application development vendors to ensure quality and compliance with Cathay standards
- Conduct quality assurance on solution components to confirm alignment with requirements and company standards
- Collaborate with other Information Management domains to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Stay updated on business strategy, plans, and latest industry trends
Requirements- Degree holder in Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in application development and support
- Experience in supporting Enterprise Resource Planning systems, SAP, and system integration; exposure to AI and Cloud projects is an advantage
- Technical proficiency in SAP and/or other accounting systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; adept at troubleshooting and pattern recognition
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships and effective team dynamics with internal and external stakeholders
- Good understanding of current technology concepts, trends, and capabilities
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and Cantonese
- Knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and Employee Compensation Ordinance is beneficial
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Solution Specialist position
