Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to support the development of the Anthem Integrated Maintenance System (IMS) for our cutting edge Next Generation Avionics platform. In this role, you will play a key part in defining software requirements, designing embedded solutions, and verifying system performance, ensuring our maintenance systems meet the evolving needs of modern aircraft.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, modify, and implement C/C&43;&43; embedded software for RTOS/Linux based systems
• Develop and maintain build systems and support CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in lab integration activities, troubleshooting and validating system behavior
• Create and maintain robust technical documentation and manage JIRA work items
• Apply critical aerospace safety and security standards (DO 178C, DO 326A/356A)
• Follow established engineering processes to deliver high quality, certifiable embedded software
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 3 plus years of professional experience in embedded software development with strong proficiency in C/C&43;&43; and hands‑on work with RTOS or Linux‑based embedded systems
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a structured environment
• Strong analytical and software problem solving skills
• Experience developing or supporting aircraft maintenance systems
• Familiarity with Integrated Avionics architectures
• Understanding of Cyber Security principles in safety critical systems
