Summary:
Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements for system design
Collaborate with engineering groups to define product environment
Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, FEM simulations, and other tools
Create test plans, support execution, and analyze results to ensure systems meet requirements
Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies
Investigate in-service product failures and recommend improvements
Work under general direction; non-managerial role with regular attendance
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
5+ years of related experience or equivalent (PhD + 3 years, Masters + 3 years)
Classical Hand Analysis
Primary Structure & FEM Experience
Aircraft Stress/Structural Analysis
Integrated Design & Layout Development
Preferred Skills:
Primary Aircraft Structure Experience
Aerospace Experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Commercial Derivatives (737, 747, 757, 777)
ABET accreditation preferred but not required
