Summary:
Lead development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design.
Coordinate with engineering teams to define the products environment.
Guide product design and verify structural integrity using and developing analytical methods, FEM models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead development of test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report test results to ensure systems and components meet requirements.
Define and document certification and test results to substantiate that requirements are satisfied for customers and regulatory agencies.
Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
Develop analytical tools and processes to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts.
Work under minimal direction in a non-managerial, non-leadership role with regular and predictable attendance.
Required Skills:
Typically acquired through a Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related fields, with 9+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years, Masters + 7 years).
Classical Hand Analysis
Primary Structure
FEM experience
Aircraft stress/structural analysis
Integrated design and layout development
Desired Skills:
Primary Aircraft Structure experience
Aerospace experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Commercial Derivatives (737, 747, 757, 777)
ABET accreditation is preferred.
