Summary:
Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements for system design
Coordinate with engineering teams to establish the product environment
Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models/simulations
Lead test plan development, support execution, and analyze/report results to ensure compliance with requirements
Define and document certification and test results for regulatory and customer approval
Investigate failures and analyze potential improvements for in-service products
Develop analytical processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Work independently with minimal direction
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry with 9+ years of experience
Equivalent: PhD + 4 years or Masters + 7 years of experience
Aircraft stress/structural analysis, including hand calculations
Stress liaison support
Customer support experience
Non-conformance report (NCR) resolution
Desired Skills:
Experience with primary aircraft structures
Finite element modeling (FEM)
Aerospace industry experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Commercial Derivatives (737, 747, 757, 777 Commercial and Military applications)
ABET accreditation preferred but not required
