Summary:
Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements for system design.
Coordinate with engineering teams to define the products environment.
Verify structural integrity using analytical methods, FEM models, and simulations throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead test plan development, support execution, and analyze results to ensure systems meet requirements.
Define and document certification results for validation by customers and regulatory agencies.
Investigate product failures and drive improvements.
Develop tools and processes to enhance development efficiency.
Work under minimal direction in a non-managerial role, requiring regular attendance.
Required Skills:
Typically acquired through a Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related fields, with 9+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years, Masters + 7 years).
Classical Hand Analysis
Primary Structure
FEM experience
Aircraft stress/structural analysis
Integrated design and layout development
Desired Skills:
Primary Aircraft Structure experience
Aerospace experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Commercial Derivatives (737, 747, 757, 777)
ABET accreditation is preferred.
