Summary:
Structural integrity and stability requirements
Develop, integrate, and document complex structural requirements for system design
Coordinate with engineering teams to define the product environment
Guide product design and verify structural integrity through analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations
Define certification processes with customers and regulatory agencies, review and approve results
Develop test plans, support execution, and analyze/report test results to validate compliance
Improve analytical processes and tools for efficiency and quality
Investigate emerging technologies for future product designs
Work under consultative direction in a non-managerial, non-leadership role
Regular and predictable attendance required
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
Typically 14+ years of relevant experience
Classical hand analysis
Primary structure analysis
FEM experience
Aircraft stress/structural analysis
Integrated design and layout development
Desired Skills:
Experience with both structures and tools
Primary aircraft structure expertise
Aerospace industry experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Commercial Derivatives (737, 747, 757 & 777) experience
ABET accreditation preferred but not required
