Summary:
Plans and organizes structural analysis to ensure compliance with integrity and stability requirements.
Develops and documents structural requirements, coordinates with engineering teams, and guides product design.
Verifies structural integrity through analytical methods, FEM models, and simulations, ensuring product performance.
Works with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes and approves results.
Develops test plans, supports execution, and analyzes test results to confirm systems meet specifications.
Drives efficiency with improved processes and explores emerging technologies for future designs.
Works under consultative direction in a non-managerial role with regular attendance required.
Required Skills:
Typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, physics, etc.) and 14+ years of related work experience or equivalent (e.g., PhD + 9 years, Masters + 12 years).
Classical Hand Analysis
Primary Structure
FEM experience
Aircraft stress/structural analysis
Integrated design and layout development
Desired Skills:
Primary Aircraft Structure experience
Aerospace experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Commercial Derivatives (737, 747, 757, 777)
ABET-accredited programs are preferred.
