Responsibilities
Location: Wichita, KS (On site)
Key Accountabilities:
- Apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design
- Candidates are expected to perform as individual contributors within a team environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering course of study from an ABET accredited program
- Requires educational credentials meeting the Spirit classification standards for engineers and typically 0 to 1 year of full-time experience in a design engineering classification / position
Preferred Qualifications:
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Experience with CATIA V5, 3DX, NX, or similar software/programs
- Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
- Working knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards
- Advanced thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
