Job Summary
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for maintaining the highest level of quality within the organization and its
supply base. The SQE will implement and maintain a comprehensive supplier qualification and scorecard system to ensure
materials comply with specifications and regulations. In addition, the SQE will provide valuable feedback to the
Procurement/Sourcing organization about which suppliers to grow, maintain, exit, re-qualify and/or exit.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Own the supplier NCR (nonconformance report) and SCRR (supplier concern resolution request) process from creation to disposition to root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative action
- Develop and manage reporting system for NCR/SCRR tracking, as well as cost of quality metrics for the Procurement/Sourcing organization (rework, scrap, vendor bill back, etc.)
- Maintain AVL (approved vendor list) for Purchasing group to ensure that vendors are qualified, capable, and formally approved to be a high-quality source for United Rotorcraft
- Create and maintain SOP’s for Procurement/Sourcing to ensure compliance to Organization’s quality policy and procedures
- Working closely with Quality Assurance, perform supplier qualification tasks as part of adding suppliers to AVL and/or exiting suppliers from list
- Develop and manage supplier scorecard process for supplier performance reporting
- Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university; and three to six years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.
• 3+ years Quality and/or Sourcing experience
• 3+ years in Aerospace/Aviation experience preferred
• Quality Management System experience

• Organization, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and meet deadlines
