The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Air Dominance (AD), MQ-25 Advanced Team in Hazelwood, MO is looking to hire a Systems Engineer to lead the requirements development and management for advanced Mission Systems capabilities for the MQ-25 air system. The MQ-25 Program is the future of autonomous aircraft carrier aviation for the US Navy!
The Systems Engineer will report to the MQ-25 Advanced Chief Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of our MQ-25 Advanced Team, working across both hardware and software development and integration concepts aligned with MQ-25 program growth strategies. The successful candidate will offer subject matter expertise (SME) across one or more of the following areas, and will collaborate with other SMEs to develop MQ-25 solutions across these areas:
Familiarity with Concept of Operations & Employment (CONOPS / CONEMPS) associated with Aerial Refueling, MUM-T, Strike, and ISR missions
Development of performance requirements for the Air System
Derivation of requirements for Systems, Subsystems, Hardware, and Software
Systems Engineering Tools & Process (DOORS, CAMEO)
Autonomy & Safety Certification
This dynamic role will work with empowered teams in a collaborative environment with other IPTs and the US Navy customer.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Systems Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Understand customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements
Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Integrates technical parameters and assures compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces
Collaborative technical execution of projects across program & capability teams
Resolve cross-functional technical issues
Travel may be required up to 10 of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years of work related experience with a Master’s OR with a PhD
Experience with Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test
Experience with Requirements development and management
Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex systems
Experience working with multi-disciplined technical teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering
3+ years of engineering experience with autonomous aircraft platforms
3+ years of experience with advanced technologies research and development
3+ years of experience developing and integrating novel hardware and software systems
Typical Education/Experience:
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for experienced (level 3): $97,750 - $132,250
Summary pay range for senior (level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
