Summary
The Systems Engineer leads the requirements analysis, tracking and verification for hardware development programs. This position pertains primarily to the requirements definition and validation segment of military simulator design/development and is largely project oriented. Design organization, management, and testing are within the duties to achieve program completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

u00B7 Analyze and manage customer inputs to define requirements
u00B7 Derive System and Component functional requirements
u00B7 Define hardware system architecture and design approach
u00B7 Provide System/Subsystem tradeoff analysis and design support
u00B7 Develop and conduct program test plans to verify requirements
u00B7 Interface with customer for requirement tracking and testing witness
u00B7 Support engineering demonstrator and/or test units, conduct testing, and analyze test results
u00B7 Perform technical writing tasks: requirements, procedures and reports
u00B7 Provide program proposal development support
u00B7 Conduct cost estimating, planning and scheduling of System Engineering efforts
u00B7 Create program documentation to support contractual deliverables.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
u00B7 Bachelor Science degree in an Engineering discipline
u00B7 Minimum 4 years Engineering experience
u00B7 Minimum 2 years experience in hardware Systems Engineering
u00B7 Proven ability to develop innovative solutions both individually and part of a team
u00B7 Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences including peers, management and customers
u00B7 Computer Aided Design (Solidworks, CREO, etc.)
u00B7 MS-Office
u00B7 Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
u00B7 Experience using DOORS and JIRA
u00B7 Simulation equipment experience
u00B7 Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
u00B7 Ability to develop and implement program plans and processes for the Systems Engineering team
u00B7 Understanding and application of Earned Value Management (EVM)
u00B7 Programming and/or database administration (MATLAB, C/C++, LabVIEW, Python, Jira, SQL, etc.)
u00B7 Hands-on testing and debugging complex systems in a lab/test facility environment
