Contract Position
$66.42-$71.42/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead vehicle space allocation design and interface definition by developing and maintaining the CAD Master Model, Product Structure, and EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials).
Support concept development by evaluating design proposals, conducting interference checks, and performing space claim analysis for static/dynamic conditions and keep-out zones.
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day project execution, including planning activities to meet program milestones.
Facilitate and participate in design reviews, drawing sign-offs, internal/external checkpoints, and trial fits for prototype and vehicle builds.
Develop and maintain Interface Control Drawings, General Assembly Drawings, Installation Drawings, and Hull/Weldment drawings.
Analyze design impacts and recommend optimal solutions through detailed reports and documentation.
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, program management, and external vendors to ensure cross-functional integration of subsystems and assemblies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in the defense industry.
Tools & Skills: Proficiency in CREO, TeamCenter, Vis-Mockup, and Ansys SpaceClaim.
Technical Knowledge: Experience with interference and clearance analysis, interface control, EBOM development, and vehicle-level CAD modeling.
Other Requirements: Must be able to work in and around military vehicles and pass the Anthropometric Size Requirement (ASR) test for confined space entry. Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
