Transversal Lead (Systems Engineer)

Location:              Barrow, Frimley, Filton, Broad Oak, Manchester or Weymouth (hybrid - 2 days a fortnight on site in Barrow)

Duration:             12 months

Rate:                   41.87 per hour PAYE or 55.25 per hour Umbrella (inside IR35)

This successful candidate will be required to act as an interface between the project and the wider transversal stakeholder community. This is expected to be a different process from that used on Dreadnought with a focus on system and part level assessments and ‘townhall’ sessions to communicate systems design intent to transversal stakeholders to better effect communication and workflow.

There will be a strong focus on the development of more effective System engineering practice through Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and the embodiment of key business toolsets associated with the NextGen digital framework.

The role is expected to lean in and support the generation of new transversal management processes that are leaner and quicker than used in the past and embody MBSE led design management principles.

Responsibilities

• Management of Transversal Design policies.
• Management of interactions between the system owner and the transversal requirements owners.
• Support to the development of MBSE transversal policy and process.
• Embedding LFE and lessons learned into the SSNA Programme.

Proven Ability / Key Skills

• Knowledge of Transversal management.
• Background in Systems engineering.
• Proven Stakeholder management ability.
