Purpose of Position
The Finance R2R, Lead will play a key role in driving the global design, configuration, and execution of Record to Report (R2R) processes as part of a large-scale ERP finance transformation program. The Finance R2R, Lead is responsible for ensuring financial processes are aligned to the transformation business objective, while incorporating leading practices in financial systems. This role requires a strong blend of accounting expertise, process optimization, and experience delivering finance transformation initiatives. This role will report to the Director of Finance, R2R, and partners closely with Finance leadership, IT, external System Integrators, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of end-to-end R2R capabilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, and automation throughout core Record-to-Report activities
  • Drive systems integration initiatives across ERP platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), ensuring alignment with business needs and process design as well lead integration associated with business transformation goals.
  • Provide oversight for foundational accounting structures, such as Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, etc.
  • Assist with supporting future-state accounting and closes processes aligned with accounting standards and best practices
  • Contribute to developing target operating models for accounting operations
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and system integrator teams to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions by validating functional requirements
  • Oversee accounting data readiness and transition activities, ensuring data integrity and auditability.-Ensure process documentation, SOPs, and policies are updated and maintained.-Participate in project lifecycle, partnering cross functionally on project planning, discovery, design, and implementation efforts
  • Support post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement of the accounting and close process.
  • Contribute to change management efforts by effectively communicating and supporting adoption of new processes, tools, and best practices

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
  • Proven experience in Record to Report (R2R) and general ledger accounting process roles for 5-7 years
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and implementations (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite), SAP S/4HANA FICO experience a strong plus
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process efficiencies
  • Strong technical knowledge US GAAP, IFRS, month-end close, intercompany, and statutory reporting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, effective at engaging Finance, IT, and external consultants/system integrators to present complex information to technical and non-technical leadership
  • Highly collaborative with strong organizational and project management skills and experience leading sophisticated projects from inception to completion
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, training, and driving system/process adoption
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree, MBA and/or Professional certification in a finance disciple (CPA/CFA)
  • Experience implementing new technology solutions in Finance - GenAI, Machine Learning
  • Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, tax reporting
