Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs more than 1000 employees in one of the world’s most challenging flight environments.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The cargo warehouse agent prepares cargo shipments for departure on Air Inuit and Canadian North planes. He is also the one who receives the cargo packages that arrive on our planes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
- Perform all necessary operations and procedures for offloading and loading of cargo trucks;
- Prepare cargo shipments for air transport;
- Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skid or pallets;
- Fill-in all required labels and attach to goods;
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of warehouse;
- Must comply with all Air Inuit’s Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to: wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment;
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other warehouse agents, customers, suppliers and operational departments;
- All other duties deemed necessary by the company in order to ensure an effective operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to communicate in at least 2 of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English;
- Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure;
- Experience as a cargo agent or cargo handler will be considered an asset;
- Must be able to obtain a YUL airport RAIC (Secured Zone Access) as well as a D/A (Airside vehicle operator’s permit);
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Excellent aptitude for customer service, communication skills.

COMPENSATION
- Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy;
- Hourly wage starting at $21.35
