Amentum is immediately hiring a qualified F/A-18 O-level Supply Technician in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at VFA-106 NAS Oceana Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities are to account/inventory, receive, store and distribute of all assigned MetCal equipment related to organizational level maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities:
•Incumbent will be charged with all facets of the METCAL program and is expected to work independently in the performance of complex and varied duties. Work within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.
•May contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain information on new items of supply or representatives of government agencies regarding the utilization of property.
•Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
•May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
•Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
•Work is performed in a shop environment, aircraft hangars and flight line with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, disagreeable fumes, and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts, sweepers, tow tractors, and aircraft.
•Work is frequently performed in high noise level areas, requiring hearing protection.
•Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
•Perform all other positions related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Will be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check as well as favorable fingerprints in EQIP. May be required to complete a SF-85/86 in EQIP as required to maintain possession of a CAC card. Unfavorable background check may result in termination if determination is made you are not eligible for a CAC card.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Must have high school or equivalent diploma.
2. Must have three (3) years of Naval Aviation material and Supply System experience.
3. Must possess thorough knowledge of Naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirement.
4. Must have four years’ experience as a logistic specialist as an Aviation Supply Technician
5. Must have successfully completed Support Equipment (SE) Asset Manager Certification Course (D-555-0026) and possess NEC 9590. To be verified by DD form 214.
6. Knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) and the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) are required.
7. Knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, and procedures is required.
8. Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification System which includes a 7-year background check and obtain a Security Clearance for Public trust and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
9. Possess a valid state driver’s license.
10. Secret Clearance Required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
11. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Prior F/A-18 O-Level experience highly preferred.
•Tool Control Coordinator experienced preferred.
•Experience is desired in the following systems: METCAL, IMRL, LAMS, OOMA, NALCOMIS, FEDLOG.
