:
The Material Handler will maintain designated functions within the Machine Shop team. Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely meeting De Havilland Canada company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions
- Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials
- Responsible for the efficient operation of any specific stores section, including tool crib, as well as shipping and receiving
- Assisting with the setup of periodic checking of physical inventory
- Required to pack, ship, and receive all materials pertaining to the company and maintain all required records of material movements – this includes the issuing and raising of company packing slips, and maintaining records of all serialized components being shipped or received
- Responsible for maintaining all the required records for international shipments including customs documentation
- Responsible for the delivery, receipt and security of materials
- Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders
- Verifying orders
- Safely operate a stand-up reach truck and/or counterbalance forklift.
- Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE).
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by lead hand and/or manager.
Qualifications:

- High school diploma
- 2–5 years of experience in international shipping is considered an asset
- 2+ years’ experience shipping dangerous goods is considered an asset
- Forklift/reach truck certification is considered an asset
- Experienced in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP systems.
